The vice president of the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, recently declared that Venezuela is again under threat from outside forces.
During a speech he made from Yaracuy, Cabello expressed his concern about destabilization attempts that, according to him, are promoted by foreign interests.
“Now Venezuela is threatened again. The oil transnationals have allied themselves with a country, they put a president in that country, they are so powerful that they put a president. And that country, the Guyana, makes decisions that affect the sovereignty of our country. That affects the freedom of our country,” he stated.
Cabello, who is also a representative of the National Assembly, argued that these destabilization attempts are a response to the progress and achievements of the Venezuelan government in recent years.
The country is ready for anything
The Venezuelan politician did not give specific details about the external forces that, according to him, are behind these threats. However, he stressed that the Venezuelan government is ready to face any attempt to interfere in the country’s internal affairs.
“Venezuela has shown its ability to resist and overcome any kind of aggression. We are ready to defend our sovereignty and our revolutionary process,” he said.
Cabello also highlighted the efforts of the Venezuelan government to stabilize the economy and improve the living conditions of citizens. According to him, these developments have created discomfort for those who seek to undermine the revolutionary process led by President Nicolás Maduro.
“We will not allow those who oppose our revolution to try to undermine our progress. We are working hard to guarantee the well-being of our people and we will not allow anyone to stop us,” said Cabello.
In response to Cabello’s statements, many opposition leaders questioned his statements and urged the Venezuelan government to focus on solving the humanitarian and economic crisis the country is going through.
Guaido and Ledezma were attacked
He criticized that, according to the Court of Delaware, Guaidó used the resources of Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) to “finance himself” and forced the company to accept his “refinancing terms”, causing the said a loss of 19 billion Dollars.
“I imagine that is only one part; they have asked for invasions,” added Cabello, who also took advantage of his intervention to label former mayor Antonio Ledezma as “vermin and coward” because of his statements about alleged civil disobedience. within the Force. In addition, Cabello reiterated that the opposition has disqualified some leaders from participating in the Primary, calling for October 22 to choose a unitary candidate to face Chavismo in the 2024 presidential elections.
“That is the right of the complainant that the Constitution is applied,” he added.
He emphasized that the only peace understood by the Venezuelan right “is the graves” while the ruling party “fights for peace with justice.”
