Disney California Adventure’s two seasonal events due to the coronavirus shutdown will return in 2022 with a pair of festival lineups that include food, entertainment and Disney characters in festive attire.
Disney California Adventure will host its Lunar New Year event from January 21 to February 13, and the Food and Wine Festival from March 4 to April 26.

DCA’s Lunar New Year event celebrates Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese cultures and traditions with multicultural displays and foods.
Year of the Tiger will bring Tiger to the DCA for the Lunar New Year celebration along with some of his other Winnie the Pooh friends.
Raya from Disney’s 2021 “Raya and the Last Dragon” animated film will also appear in the DCA’s Redwood Creek Challenge Trail area.
Mickey and Minnie will return to their seasonal attire with Mulan and Mushu in “Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession”.
The 2021 Lunar New Year event was put on hold by the DCA and Disneyland’s 412-day pandemic shutdown.
The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival will feature locals, celebrities, and Disney chefs, offering free culinary demonstrations and paid signature events on weekends throughout the event.
The DCA Food and Wine Festival was discontinued in March 2020 due to the pandemic at Anaheim theme parks and was replaced by A Touch of Disney Food Festival in March 2021.
Sip and Saver Passes will be available for both the Lunar New Year and Food & Wine Festival, allowing visitors to purchase prepaid cards with multiple tabs for different items at the Food & Beverage stand throughout the event.
Unused Sip and Saver cards from the 2020 Food & Wine Festival cannot be used during the Lunar New Year and Food & Wine Festival due to Disneyland and DCA’s coronavirus shutdown. SIP and Saver cards purchased before 2020 can be used during the Festival of the Holidays event currently underway at DCA.
Both 2022 events will feature live entertainment on festival stages throughout the park.
