This visa is granted to foreign workers who are hired by US companies to perform temporary and rough work, such as cleaning, construction, manufacturing, hospitality, among others.

It is important to mention that each vacancy offers other benefits that vary according to the type of work and the area in which the job position is located.
How does the H-2B visa process work?
The H-2B visa process begins with companies submitting a list of openings for which they want migrant labor and filing it with the Department of Labor. This department is in charge of issuing temporary Labor Certification.
Once certified, the employer must submit Form I-129 to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to indicate that it is legal to hire foreign workers.
The next step is for the applicant to look for vacancies for which he can apply as a migrant and submit his petition to the United States Consulate that is closest to him through the DS-160 form. Also, he must pay the current fee at the time of the procedure.
It is important to mention that the process to obtain a temporary H-2B work visa is complicated and tedious, but it is essential to follow each step and the requirements established by the US government in order to avoid any problem or rejection in the application.
