Doctors at a hospital in Peru were surprised to find on x-ray that a 10-month-old baby had a crucifix stuck in his esophagus, so they had to do a procedure to get it out right away.
Doctors at the VÃctor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital in La Libertad, Peru, have been able to perform a successful surgical intervention to remove the crucifix, which is dangerously placed inside a 10-month-old baby.
The mother, alerted by her daughter’s signs of discomfort, decided to immediately take her to the medical center, where the girl was x-rayed and the object was found in the lower part of her throat.which represents an imminent risk to the child’s health.
Due to the urgency of the situation, the medical team performed endoscopy with skill and care to remove the thing without causing any further harm to the woman.
After the successful procedure, it was confirmed that the child is in good health, which gives comfort to the family.
