The Dodgers came out impeccable, despite dropping 13 runners at base and Craig Kimbrel’s shaky performance in the ninth inning. They went 20-4 this month and 67-32 overall, both the best points among the majors.
Smith singled out and hit base four times, while Uriahs (10-6) used a combination of fastballs, changeups and curveballs to restrict the Rockies to two runs and four hits.
The Mexican has conceded three runs in more than 20 innings in his last three starts, bringing his ERA to 2.71.
Evan Phillips scored without hitting two in the eighth before Kimbrel loaded the bases and gave a two-run single to Randall Grichuk.
With Grichuk second and two outs, Kimbrel saved his 18th by dismissing Ryan McMahon after a foul in left field.
Chad Kuhl (6-6), who allowed only three hits on June 27 – the last time he faced the Dodgers – allowed three hits in the first innings.
On the 1-2 count, Smith found a sinker and hit a 435-foot homer that went into left field.
