Usually, when we start an exercise routine or a diet, we tend to hear different stories with food and schedules that do not contribute much to the desire to lose weight.
One of them, which is heard the most, is not to eat good food at night, because it is said that eating and sleeping do not properly digest the body.
But this opinion was not 100% bought, as there are those who say that they eat a lot before sleep and are thin, while there are those who do not eat and are heavier.

Given this, a group of scientists from the United States of America conducted an experiment that revealed the truth of this hypothesis.
The trial included 16 participants who were subjected to two diets each day for 6 days. The first consisted of eating very early, that is, at least 6 hours before bedtime, and the second was only 2 hours before.
In the experiment, all participants followed the same eating plan and ate the same amount of nutrients. In addition, they perform the same activity and sleep for the same number of hours as they are exposed to light, which has an effect on appetite and food intake.
According to the results of the study, which was published in the Journal of Cell Metabolism, indeed, eating late and a few hours before bed affects a person’s weight and he is at a greater risk of gaining weight.
According to what has been reported, when entering into the comparison of both diets, it is established that eating consumed only 2 hours before sleeping, three things that are affected by the weight gain cause: appetite control, expenditure (calories burned) and the metabolism of fat tissue.

The researchers explained that eating late caused the appetite to increase and the calories burned to decrease, which changed the pathways involved in lipid metabolism.
In response to this, they explained “when we eat late, this can challenge the natural circadian rhythm, disturbances in the body’s hunger signals and the way fat uses calories and stores. But this connection has only been demonstrated in animal studies. Modern.
However, they state that it is necessary to carry out a larger number of studies over a longer period of time if the results here are to be determined.
