Deputy Raúl Benítez (PEN) confirmed that with a group of deputies,, they will present a request for interpellation to the Minister of Justice, Ángel Barchini. He maintains that his capacity is in doubt and clarifications are neededregarding the management of the penitentiary and the latest in an alleged collaboration with the alleged drug trafficker Sebastián Marset.
They also asked how he could not investigate the fact that Prosegur’s last attack in Itapúa was allegedly planned inside a prison.
Another reason for wanting to question him was his expressions about a prisoner police officer who he said had been cutbut was in fact still alive, as well as the one found in the cell of Carmen Villalba, in the self-proclaimed Paraguayan People’s Army(EPP), and alleged contacts with alleged Uruguayan drug trafficker Sebastián Marset.
For all of this, Benítez announced that this week they will make the formal request, because he considers Barchini’s position and his management to be a time bomb.
Appeal to Colorados support
Directly targeting the Chartist representatives who, if they do not support, will show that they support Barchini, the lawmaker emphasized that Colorados are needed to support the initiative of interpellation.
He knows that the opposition in the Lower House is a minority.
