Saica Group positioned himself among the companies most valued in sustainability internationally because of the silver medal for which he was recognized by EcoVadis. This platform is responsible for rating the sustainability of the global supply chains of more than 75,000 companies worldwide.
The EcoVadis endpoint shows the alignment of each company with ESG behavior (environment, social, and governance) based on four aspects: environment, labor practices and human rights, ethics, and sustainable purchasing. In 2023, Saica improved the score obtained in previous years, reaching a total of 68 points out of 100. The main improvements were observed in the areas of labor practices, human rights, and sustainable purchasing, with 10 additional points, respectively.
Another development observed is checking the level of carbon management of the Saica Group, whose level rose from intermediate to leader, thereby increasing both positions. This is the result of the system management of greenhouse gas emissions and the Group’s commitment, actions, and good reporting capabilities regarding decarbonization.
Saica Group uses various communication methods to clearly share with interested parties the developments that are taking place within the company in the field of sustainability. An example of this commitment is the publication of the Sustainability Report in the group and participating in annual evaluations such as EcoVadis and CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project).
