Ecovidirio and the Huesca City Council join forces in the Recycle glass for them

Ecovidrio and the Huesca City Council collaborate on the solidarity campaign ‘Recycle the Glass for Them ‘ organized in collaboration with the Contigo Foundation in support of research against breast cancer and favor of glass recycling.

Ecovidrio is the non-profit entity that manages the recycling of glass packaging waste in Spain and the Contigo Foundation is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote research, especially in breast cancer. The campaign has the motto “investing in research is investing in life.”

In particular, in the city of Huesca, two pink containers will be placed in the plaza of Concepción Arenal for the next two weeks to see the campaign and its goals.

It should be noted that the pink containers are distributed throughout the national territory. The unity campaign will hit the streets of more than 140 cities with more than 340 iconic pink “igloos”.

The disease affects 1 in 8 women in Spain and it is estimated that more than 2 million cases are diagnosed each year worldwide.

Ecovidrio and the Contigo Foundation against women’s cancer formed this year the first women’s soccer team, with first-division players Virginia Torrecilla, Alba Redondo, and Eva Navarro, who wore pink on their social network for the occasion.
