Elemental arrives in the Disney+ catalog on September 13. Pixar’s latest film strengthens the streaming service’s catalog while introducing its new offer: 3 months for 2 euros a month instead of 9.
Elementary, the last movie from Pixar, will be published shortly on Disney+. If you didn’t see it in cinemas this summer or want to revisit Candela and Nilo’s impossible love story, you can catch it on September 13th on Disney+.
Next Wednesday, along with the making-off documentary, it will stay in the Disney+ Elemental catalog forever Pure Chemistry: The Story of Elemental and the Pixar Animation Studios short film “Carl’s Date,“, the short film with the grandfather of High who accompanied the film in the cinemas
This 3D animated film tells the story of Candela and Nilo, two beings created from fire and water, two elements that seem impossible to get along with. A very “Pixar-esque” metaphor inspired by the life of the director, the son of Korean immigrants.
Elemental comes at an opportune time to bolster the Disney+ offering in autumn: The sun is going down, rain and cold are coming, and the consumption of films and series at home is increasing.
Elemental had a bumpy passage through the rooms. The opening was one of the worst in Disney Pixar history, but it ended up staying fresh and generating revenue all summer long—$480.1 million—a not inconsiderable number (although the high budget of $200 million still means a small profit margin).
