The Ministry of Equality confirmed this Wednesday the case of a 52-year-old woman who was allegedly killed by her husband in the province of Malaga, bringing the number of deaths due to gender violence. This will increase to 51 in 2023, one more in 2022, and 1,236 since 2003the Europa Press collected.
The dead body of this last victim was found on Tuesday at a Benalmádena address, with his partner. After the incident, several police teams went to the house around 5:00 pm on October 10, which was alarmed by the neighbors, who heard the crew. When they arrived, they found the dead bodies of a 63-year-old man with gunshot wounds and a 52-year-old woman, who also had gunshot wounds.
As reported by Equality, the woman has a minor son and no complaints before for gender violence against the alleged aggressor. Therefore, the number of minor orphans increased to 51.
To confirm this case in the province of Malaga, they are 17 the number of deaths due to sexist violence in Andalusiawith 33.3%, followed by Catalonia, with 9 victims and 17.6%.
A total of 19 women who were allegedly killed by sexist violence (37.3%) were between the ages of 31 and 40.12 of them (23.5%) are between 41 and 50 years old and 6 (11.8%) are between 51 and 60 years old, the age of the last victim.
