Equipment, staffing issues lead to Thanksgiving Day confusion at Boston Market in Rancho Cucamonga

Equipment and staffing issues prevented Boston Market in Rancho Cucamonga from fulfilling the location’s prepaid Thanksgiving Day orders, spokesman Slayton Smith said in an email Friday, Nov. 26.

Customers arriving at the Foothill Boulevard restaurant Thursday to pick up their prepaid holiday meals received a sign at the front door that read: “No staff showing up today… We are unable to fulfill orders! Us have regret!”

Company officials have reached out to those affected to explain the situation, Smith wrote.

Smith said those guests would get a refund and a free meal voucher.

“This year, Boston Market has successfully served over 100,000 families with delicious Thanksgiving Day meals, served professionally by our hard-working teams across the country,” Smith wrote. “We are disappointed when not a single family is 100% satisfied and deeply regret and apologize to our guests who were affected by developments at the Rancho Cucamonga location.”
