But when she went to pick up her daughter on July 5, 2017, she did not return from the camping trip. For this reason, an arrest warrant was issued against Unbehoun in the criminal case of kidnapping.
Now, six years later, a man spotted Kayla at a store in Asheville and recognized her from an episode of the Netflix series, Samantha Booth of the Asheville Police Department told CNN.

Anbehoun was arrested last Saturday and set on $250,000 bail, Buncombe County, North Carolina Deputy Clerk Corey Alexander told CNN, with the defendant scheduled to appear in court July 11.
