Eurovision 2022: Irish entrant Brooke Scullian hoping for voter increase

Brooke Scullian, Ireland’s Eurovision entrant, hopes the support of voters in the north will give her an extra boost to send her to the Grand Final.

The singer (23), who is from Derry, said that there is a “good buzz” around her song. he is rich Ahead of his performance in Turin in the second semi-final this Thursday.

“People are excited this year and can vote up the answer, essentially, which means we’re in a better position again so the song is getting a lot of recognition. And hopefully it will start us doing that in the future,” she said.

She said she believed that sending an entrant with a song that is “completely different” could prove to be the key for Ireland to reach the final again, having failed to do so since 2013, when Ryan O’Shaughnessy made it to the finals.

“I think what’s different about this year is that we’ve sent something completely different. We’ve always sent a ballad and maybe it’s not the right formula that we need.

“Definitely this week it will get radio play. But of course it would have been better if we got it earlier. But that’s in the past now, we can focus on the campaign from here. I think it’s on the radio.” That would be an excellent boost to run.”

Scallion, a previous competitor The Voice UKThis Thursday is promising an entertaining performance, complete with a troupe of dancers and a pyrotechnic display.
