Now it has been officially confirmed that Laal Singh Chaddha Will release on April 14, 2022. Check this announcement.
So this Aamir Khan Starrer will collide with the second chapter of now KGF Which is being awaited since the release of the first part. The appreciation it has received has made people curious about it. We spoke to some business people about this clash and this is what they have to say.
Taran Adarsh opines,
Earlier we used to talk more about merger and talk of Lagaan-traitor. Conflict, But in today’s time the stakes are so high and the audience gets divided. This is going to be a tough competition. Let’s see who blinks first, if they blink. Having said that, I feel it is not healthy to release two films in a week, unless it is a special week. If you ask me, KGF first announced it and then Aamir came on a date. So, in terms of dates, it is KGF that is correct. Of course, this is a democracy and you can’t tell people not to release a film on their date. Let’s hope that if both the films release together then it will do well but it would be better if one of them changes the date.
But confrontation is inevitable and everyone has the same opinion on it.
Trade analyst Amul V. Mohan says,
“Lal Singh Chaddha was originally supposed to release on Valentine’s Day weekend and then they later shifted it. I think the dates are going to change, considering the current scenario around Covid and everything else. Even that these dates may also change because apparently there is a backlog of movies which were earlier supposed to release, which are not going now. We haven’t even released on January or December 31, so there is a slight difference now And because of this gap, several big releases will now be announced. Plus it’s a good Friday and a big weekend. Although they may still consider coming together, a big holiday will certainly make that decision. will play an important role.
But some also feel that it will be good for the industry. Perhaps, if both are good then both the films will do well.
Film Distributor Rajesh Thadani feels,
“Obviously, it will affect the business of both, but I am hopeful that things should return to normal and cinemas should be allowed 100 per cent audience. I don’t see much problem in that case. Due to delay in film release For covid, two films are going to collide now. It is not going to happen for the first time, it will happen but if both are good then they will survive. It will definitely cut into each other’s business but its good for our industry There is no harm in that but both will affect each other and what is good will work.”
Komal Nahta He believes that not much can be done about it.
Everyone hopes that by April 14, Kovid will be a thing of the past. But otherwise the movies are bound to clash, you can’t do much about it right now.
