What is Marburg virus?

Marburg virus is a disease caused by bats like the corona. According to experts, after crossover of the virus from an infected animal to humans, it can be transmitted from one person to another. According to experts, there is a risk of Marburg virus disease (MVD) due to Marburg virus and its mortality can be more than 88 percent. Let us tell you that this virus is also a member of the Ebola family. It is being told that Marburg spreads infection faster than Ebalo. In 1967, the first outbreak of this virus was seen in Marburg and Frankfurt, Germany.

Symptoms of Marburg virus disease

According to experts, it takes 2-21 days for symptoms to appear in a person suffering from Marburg virus. Symptoms such as fever, chills, headache and myalgia may appear in the infected patient. If it is not treated on time, it can prove to be fatal.

How is Marburg virus spread?

According to experts, the infection can spread to other people by coming in contact with blood, body fluids such as urine, saliva, sweat, feces, vomit, etc. of a person infected with this virus. Not only this, the use of clothes and bedding of the infected person also keeps the risk of spreading the infection.

Prevention and treatment of Marburg virus disease

According to experts, as a treatment for a patient infected with Marburg virus, he is advised to control liquid diet and electrolytes, keep oxygen and blood pressure conditions under control and not allow anemia. Apart from this, direct contact with the infected person should be avoided. If you are living in the affected area then it is necessary to wear gloves and mask in your hands. At the same time, the infected person should be kept in quarantine and during this time a proper distance should be maintained from anything used by him.
