“The first players called up for matches in Asia are already in Beijing: Palacios and Buonanotte,”wrote the official account of the Argentina national team on Twitter.
“The footballers arrived on a flight from Buenos Aires this afternoon and rested at the hotel where the teams will meet for the first game against Australia on 15 June”detailed in a statement to the AFA.
Buonanotte, from Brighton & Hove in England, was left out of the U-20 World Cup in which he was called by the decision of the English institute, while Palacios capped off a good season at Bayer Leverkusen in Germany.
Later players Cristian Romero (Tottenham) and Nicolas Otamendi (Benfica) would join.
In Asia, Argentina will take on Australia and Indonesia in Beijing (China) on 15th and Jakarta (Indonesia) on 19th of this month respectively.
The first match against the Australian team will take place in Argentina with broadcast by TYC Sports at 09:00; There is still no official confirmation of the second one.
