Fantasy Football: Wilson, Rodgers Top Week 2 Quarterback Rankings

MIAMI, September 15 (WNN) — Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers top my Week 2 fantasy football quarterback rankings for 2021.

Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen and Tom Brady round out my top 5 choices for Week 2. Kyler Murray, Matthew Stafford, Dak Prescott, Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson also make it to my top 10.

Joe Burrow, Teddy Bridgewater, Matt Ryan and Tyrod Taylor are among the quarterbacks I would consider starting this week if you are weak in the position.

Washington Football Team quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick should be dropped from all lineups, and removed from teams, because he suffered a multiple hip injury in Week 1.

Here are some of my favorite players in this week’s Top 20 Quarterback Rankings:

top shelf

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson threw four touchdown passes in Week 1 and should provide elite QB1 value again in Week 2.

The Seahawks hosted the Tennessee Titans, who allowed four touchdown passes and a speedy score to Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray in Week 1. The Titans also allowed the second-highest passing score in the NFL last season.

Watch Wilson throw at least three passing touchdowns and assume 300 yards in what should be a shootout in Seattle. He is my No. 1 quarterback for Week 2.

Aaron Rodgers posted one of the worst performances of his career in Week 1, with only 133 yards and no touchdown passes against the New Orleans Saints. He also threw two interceptions.

The Green Bay Packers star should roar back in Week 2, with a home matchup against the Detroit Lions. The Lions had the most imaginary points and passing touchdowns allowed at quarterbacks last season.

The Lions also allowed 319 passing yards and two scores in Week 1 at the San Francisco 49ers quarterback. Rodgers is my No. 2 quarterback and has a near-lock to pass for over 300 yards and three scores. His top target, Davante Adams, is my No. 2 wide receiver for Week 2.

sneaky games

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow threw 261 yards and two scores in Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings. This week, the Borough gets a matchup against the Chicago Bears.

The Bears allowed an almost perfect performance from Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford in Week 1.

Watch the Bengals use a balanced approach to secure their second win of the season in Chicago on Sunday.

I expect Burrow and the Bengals to surpass Joe Burrow in their position in fantasy football this week inside the top 10. Mixon is trailing my number 2.

Burrow must post at least two passing scores and throws closer to 300 yards. He is my number 9 quarterback.

Teddy Bridgewater completed 77.8% of his throws and threw two passing scores in Week 1 for the Denver Broncos. That’s my number 13 option for week 2.

Bridgewater is a great streaming option as the Broncos enter a matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars last season allowed the fifth most fantasy points for a quarterback. He also allowed Houston Texans quarterback Tyrod Taylor 291 passing yards and two scores in Week 1.

Bridgewater must spread the ball to a number of competent Broncos pass catchers and throw it for at least 250 yards. He has a shot at throwing multiple touchdown passes in this game Sunday in Jacksonville, Fla.

long shots

The Atlanta Falcons defense extended their 2020 struggles into Week 1, which means the team will play far behind this season.

Matt Ryan’s fantasy football bosses should benefit from that game script. Ryan didn’t throw a touchdown pass in Week 1, but he should make a comeback when the Falcons face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week.

Watch the Falcons follow a similar strategy, as used by the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1, when Dak Prescott threw 58 times for 403 yards and three scores at close loss to the Buccaneers.

Ryan must throw at least 50 passes in this game. Watch the Falcons quarterback approaching 300 passing yards. He must throw at least two touchdown passes in Week 2.

Ryan is my number 14 option, but it should only be used if you are desperate for points on the position.

Houston Texans’ Tyrod Taylor is the one and only use-if-you-desperate fantasy football quarterback. Taylor’s impressive Week 1 performance should continue until this week, when the Texans face the Cleveland Browns.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes burned the Browns for 337 yards and three scores in Week 1. Taylor doesn’t have the talent of Mahomes or the arsenal of pass catchers, but should be successful enough to consider streaming in a league with at least 14 teams. .

He is my number 20 quarterback.
