The defender scouted the French club to find out what their intentions are for their next run
The list of central defenders at the Parque de los Principes has been renewed with the signing of Marquinho and Skriniar.
Julius Kounde has shared with FC Barcelona that they are listening to an offer for him this summer. The central defender does not feel comfortable playing on the wing and believes he can play better in the central defensive axis. In this sense, his environment has already begun to move to see which teams he could be interested in entering the next four seasons.
One of them was Paris Saint-Germain. The French club has enough financial muscle to oppose the signing of Kounde’s dimensions, whose transfer would be one of the highest paid in history for a defender.
The Paris team, however, has no plans to sign any center in this market, since they consider that they have more than this covered. Marquinhos recently closed a renewal until 2028, in addition to the arrival of Skriniar from Inter Milan as a free agent.
As if this were not enough, there are also three other players in the Paris team for the central position: Sergio Ramos, whose contract expires on June 30 and is in the process of renewing it; in addition to two domestic players: young Bitshiabu and Kimpembe. Both are out of contract in 2024, with the second having more options to leave this summer.
