Odebrecht case allegation
In November 2020, FGR alleged that Pea Nieto played a central role in the Brazilian construction company Odebrecht’s bribery case committing the offenses of bribery, treason and electoral crime.
According to the arrest warrants he had requested against the former Secretary of the Treasury, Luis Videguere Caso, and which he later withdrew from a controlling judge to fix it, Pea Nieto had “his own criminal power system”, Out of which he implemented the strategy of coordinating legislators to approve structural reforms in energy through bribes received from the Odebrecht company.
