On the same day – he specified – people deprived of liberty without an enforced sentence of conviction from 39 penitentiary centers throughout the country will vote.
Meanwhile, on Friday the electoral silence will begin and on that day the ‘Vote at home’ will also be held for people who are of legal age or have physical disabilities, he argued.
Starting this Wednesday, members of the Armed Forces will occupy schools and other areas that will be electoral precincts, a step to avoid possible acts of violence.
The authorities pointed out that 53 thousand policemen are also part of the plan to guarantee the peace of the citizens during the elections.
Next Sunday González, from the Citizen Revolution movement (RC) and Noboa, from the National Democratic Action alliance (ADN), will face each other in the polls and one of them will be the successor of Guillermo Lasso.
