The Ferrari Driver Academy (FDA) scouting program is in full swing: in fact, two selection events are about to begin, which will define some of the participants in the FDA Scouting World Finals in Maranello in October. , The most promising youngsters compete against each other on the track and in a series of off-track activities with the aim of securing a place in the scheduled Ferrari event.

From Italy to Malaysia. Last Thursday the second Scouting camp of the season took place in Fiorano in association with ACI Sport. In this event, in addition to the one held last July, four youngsters put themselves to the test behind the wheel of a Formula 4 single-seater equipped with Pirelli tyres, on a historic circuit owned by Ferrari.
During the two camps, four Italians nominated by ACI Sport and several talents selected by the FDA were evaluated along with the karting industry’s scouting partner, the historic Tony Kart.
The performance evaluation of boys is going on and some of them may be selected for the World Scout Finals. Over the weekend, it will be time for a selection event organized by Motorsport Australia, the FDA’s scouting partner for the Asia-Pacific region, which will bring the Sepang track, the 19th Malaysian Formula 1 Grand Prix, to 24 youth theaters. Seven different nations.
The weekend is held in two phases: the first will involve all boys, the second will be reserved for the top six and will lead to the selection of candidates for the FDA World Scout Finals.

The other selection event, which is considered the final act of the Ferrari Scouting programme, will take place at the Puebla Autodrome in Mexico, and is organized in collaboration with Escuderia Delmex, a scouting partner for Latin America and Mexico.
