Megalopolis, with a cast that includes, among others, Adam Driver, Aubrey Plaza, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Shia LaBeouf, will be released soon in theaters.
If all goes well, this year it will be in theaters: Megalopolis, the new movie by legendary filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, where the filmmaker presents us with a science fiction drama.
And we say “if all goes well” because, although the director has stated that he plans to release his feature film in 2024, it doesn’t have an official release date in theaters yet. What’s more, we don’t have a trailer for the film yet.
However, Coppola fans the flame of hope among the audience by showing a first look at Megalopolis. You can see the picture below.
The cinematography contributed by the director shows a dark view of what appears to be a dark New York City alley on a rainy night.
In the middle of the alley, we see a large statue that seems to have been destroyed and is leaning against a building.
About what it is, Megalopolisthe new Francis Ford Coppola
The picture hardly gives anything relevant because it only shows a brief glimpse of one of its scenarios without any of the main actors.
So far, what little is known about Coppola’s project is that its plot follows an architect who wants to rebuild New York City as a utopia after a devastating disaster. This architect must face the corrupt mayor of the city in order to achieve his goal.
The filmmaker himself commented that the film was inspired by the historical conspiracy between the Roman senator Lucius Sergius Catiline and Marcus Tullius Cicero, involved in a cruel and deadly plot.
