Five arrested in two robberies in Beverly Hills

Beverly Hills, California. Five people were arrested this week in connection with two unrelated armed robberies in Beverly Hills this week, police said on November 24, including a man and a woman from Los Angeles.

At about 10:50 pm Monday, the Beverly Hills Police Department (BHPD) received two reports of the first incident, consisting of two armed street robberies one block south of Wilshire Boulevard.

Chinel Thila-Lee Rhine and Judge Rashidmalik Gill, both from Los Angeles, allegedly approached two victims – in South Elm Drive and Charleville Boulevard, as well as Rexford Drive and Charleville Boulevard – and robbed them at gunpoint before being together hide in a black SUV. according to Lieutenant Giovanni Trejo, Public Information Officer.

Police said the two victims were not injured in the robberies.

BHPD officers responded to the location and received a description of the SUV, a license plate and descriptions of the suspects, Trejo said.

At about 1:35 am the next day, BHPD detectives located the SUV and, in partnership with the LAPD, stopped it near West 54th Street and Figueroa Street in South Los Angeles.

According to Trejo, 22-year-old Ryne and 25-year-old Gill were taken into custody and placed in the BHPD prison. Police also found a copy of a firearm in the suspects’ car during the arrest.

Rain was charged with retrieving a simulated firearm and Gill was charged with robbery.

Later Tuesday, BHPD officers were informed of another armed robbery at around 4:20 pm on Beverly Boulevard, west of Doheny Drive.

The arriving units learned that the three suspects had approached the victims on foot and robbed them, threatening them with weapons, before fleeing the scene.

Police said no victims were injured as a result of the robbery.

Police set up a containment cell in the area and eventually located the suspects.

Lacailia Lambert, 37, Isaiah Hudson, 19, and a 16-year-old boy were taken into custody on suspicion of robbery. During the arrest, two loaded pistols were removed.

Both are from Monterey County, Lambert of Seaside was charged with robbery and conspiracy, and Hudson of Marina was charged with robbery, conspiracy and carrying hidden weapons.

The Monday and Tuesday robberies were not related to each other or to any other crime in the city, Trejo said.
