The lobby of the Dr. Gustavo Aldereguia University General Hospital in Cienfuegos hosted this Monday the flag-off ceremony of the Cienfuegos delegation that will participate in the Second National Conference of the Health Workers Union. Dr. Santiago Badía González, General Secretary of this union in the Greater Antilles, attended the ceremony.
Marchena García commented that the delegation that will represent our province is made up of eight delegates and four guests who were chosen throughout the organic process of the second conference. The average age is 38 years. 50 percent are union leaders, 35.7 percent are union officials, and one hundred percent of all our delegates make up the ranks of the Cub Communist Party.
“This is a recognition for us elected delegates to represent the workers of our province, he said. This event means a high commitment to the Cuban Revolution and our union organization to raise the quality of our services and the satisfaction of patients and families,”, he concluded.
On December 8 and 9, the Cojímar Convention Center and the Havana Convention Palace will host an important meeting of workers who are part of the army of white clothes.
