Flagged delegation from Cienfuegos to the National Conference of the Health Workers Union

The lobby of the Dr. Gustavo Aldereguia University General Hospital in Cienfuegos hosted this Monday the flag-off ceremony of the Cienfuegos delegation that will participate in the Second National Conference of the Health Workers Union. Dr. Santiago Badía González, General Secretary of this union in the Greater Antilles, attended the ceremony.

In his words, the leader emphasized that he hopes this will be a meeting worthy of our time. “I hope that our national conference will be like yours,” said Badía, “because your conference is very, very brave, with a lot of commitment, which will continue to be a conquest and the essence of the Revolution, which is our town”.On his part, Dr. Yaritza Marchena García, secretary of the province of this union, stated when speaking that important processes were carried out to strengthen the work from the base.

Marchena García commented that the delegation that will represent our province is made up of eight delegates and four guests who were chosen throughout the organic process of the second conference. The average age is 38 years. 50 percent are union leaders, 35.7 percent are union officials, and one hundred percent of all our delegates make up the ranks of the Cub Communist Party.

“This is a recognition for us elected delegates to represent the workers of our province, he said. This event means a high commitment to the Cuban Revolution and our union organization to raise the quality of our services and the satisfaction of patients and families,”, he concluded.

On December 8 and 9, the Cojímar Convention Center and the Havana Convention Palace will host an important meeting of workers who are part of the army of white clothes.
