For nothing on earth can we allow Petro to arm his 100,000 militiamen

Doing this with our money and official maps is not public policy by the President. It’s criminal policy by the President. The day it happens, we will be lost

Colombia cannot completely lose its self-preservation instinct.

The story is frightening.

Part of Petro’s militarization strategy includes a plan to legalize, multiply, and arm his front lines and bring them to 100,000 members who will be paid with money from us, the taxpayers, and slip an official card straight into their pockets.

The day that happens, we will be lost.

Petro’s argument is as unworthy as it is immoral.

“We will pay young people not to kill.”

Immoral because a moral society pays to work, produce wealth, and add value. For adding different types of values.

Tangible values and intangible values. Economic values and values of the soul. Spiritual values and environmental values. Listen carefully: never because you didn’t kill.

And liars. Deeply deceitful. Petro won’t pay them for not killing; quite the opposite. Oppress, bully, and kill.

The militias are not armed to kill; they are armed to kill and threaten to kill. Which is still the same in the end. Both killing and the threat of killing serve to instill fear in society.

To subdue them out of fear.

If you don’t believe me, I recommend that you study very carefully what happened and continues to happen with the “collectives” that Chávez assembled in Venezuela.

And if you still don’t believe what I’m saying, ask the Indigenous, Afro and Mestizo communities of Cauca what is happening to them with the “Indigenous Guardians” – militias – that run the Cric, the Farc and all sorts of organizations have armed. Criminal. And if you still don’t believe me, find out what the communities of Caquetá, Putumayo, Guainía and Meta are suffering under the “guardias campesinas” – also militias – and under the regional tyranny built up by Iváns Farc. Nibble. And if you still don’t believe me, I could give other examples.

That is why we insist so much that our country must not lose its instinct of self-preservation. Our instinct for self-preservation has been dormant for years, but it is not dead. We must awaken it.

The instinct of self-preservation in a democratic society is politeness. It is not enough that we are registered citizens. We must take the step of becoming citizens.

The militias are not armed to kill; they are armed to kill and threaten to kill. Which is still the same in the end. Both killing and the threat of killing serve to instill fear in society.

It is not enough for us to criticize the Petro militias. Above all, they must be overcome. We cannot allow them to defeat society with their strategy of fear.

You have to go from statement to fact. The language of the citizens must be the facts. Yes. Just like in Christianity. If our civil society loses its ability to generate facts, we will be doomed to become the rubble left in the streets by militiamen.

The creation of 100,000 militiamen with our money and with official maps is not a public policy of the President. It’s criminal policy by the President.

Militarization is not an ideological option for the President. It’s a criminal decision by the President.

Because of this, the Citizens’ Movement will file complaints and lawsuits against the President and his abuse of office. We will use every resource the rule of law gives us to defend our democracy from tyranny and our society from tyrants.

It’s not enough to criticize and cry while drinking red wine.
