Galaxy announced that General Manager Denis te Klose is leaving the club to take the position of CEO with Dutch club Feyenoord.
“We would like to thank Dennis for his contribution to the club over the past three seasons,” Galaxy chairman Chris Klein said in a statement. “We support his decision to return to the Netherlands to join Feyenoord and wish him the best of luck in his next endeavor.”
Te Kloese joined Galaxy in December 2018. He previously worked for the Mexican Football Federation as the director of national teams. Feyenoord’s move would take Te Closse back to her Netherlands roots, where she was born.
“I am really grateful and very proud to have served the LA Galaxy for the past three years,” Te Klose said. “I want to thank the fans, players, staff and everyone who has always made me and my family feel at home and part of the Galaxy family.
“I will take with me some of the best memories and some unforgettable moments I have experienced over the years. As I prepare for my new challenge in the Netherlands, I just want to say thank you and everyone for moving forward I wish you all the best and great success.
Galaxy did not say whether it would be hired to fill the position. One way the club could go is for coach Greg Vanney to take over GM duties. He held the title of Assistant GM while coaching Toronto FC.
With Te Klose’s departure, Jovan Kirowski (Technical Director) and Gordon Kljeston (Senior Director, Soccer Operations) are headed by the Galaxy’s Soccer Operations division.
