The California Lady Pintos took second place in the team standings last Saturday at the Fatima Invitational at the Knights of Columbus Complex.
California posted 58 points in the girls team standings, trailing only Fatima, who won the team title with 27 points. Sedalia Smith-Cotton was third with 62 points, and Jefferson City took fourth with 78.
Kenzleigh Goans led the Lady Pintos, finishing fourth out of 53 runners with a time of 22:11.54.
The Eldon Lady Mustangs had a pair of medalists in the women’s race. Reagan Hull was 10th in 23:38.30, while Heather Bradfield was 14th in 24:09.45.
Linn’s Reagan Klouzek was also a medalist, taking ninth place with a time of 23:22.35.
Fatima senior Lauren Berhorst was the girls individual champion with a time of 21:16.32.
The California Pintos placed fourth out of eight teams in the boys standings with 117 points. Fatima won the team title with 31 points.
South Callaway (153) and Eldon (179) finished seventh and eighth, respectively, in the boys standings.
Caleb Howard led the Pintos with a time of 22:23.42 in a field of 64 runners.
Chamois’ Caleb Keilholz was a medalist, finishing 12th in 19:35.97, while Eldon’s Preston Sapp also placed in the top 15, taking 13th in 19:38.61.
Tucker Jones led the South Callaway Bulldogs with a time of 20:22.66 to cross the finish line in 21st place.
Fatima senior Cody Berhorst won the boys individual title with a first-place time of 17:58.63.
