New Delhi: Everyone is inventing new technology to control the crown which has become epidemic in the world. In such a situation, Singapore approved the corona test by blowing.
According to information received, local startups developing the product have reported that authorities in Singapore have temporarily approved the COVID-19 breathalyser test, which aims to find out in less than a minute whether or not someone is infected with the. virus.
Breathonix, a spin-off company of the National University of Singapore (NUS), said it is currently working with the Department of Health to conduct a trial on one of the city’s borders with Malaysia.
The respiratory analysis will be performed with the current COVID-19 rapid antigen test. The company said last year that breathing tests achieved more than 90% accuracy in a Singapore-based pilot clinical trial.
The Health Sciences Authority website confirmed the approval, which the company says is the first such system to gain provisional authority in Singapore.
The system uses disposable mouthpieces and is designed to prevent cross contamination. After blowing into the device, the technique evaluates respiratory chemicals to determine if a person is infected.
The company said anyone who tests positive must undergo a confirmatory Covid-19 swab polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.
Breathonix said it was in discussions with several local and foreign organizations to use the system, citing strong business interests. Other countries, including Indonesia and the Netherlands, have also started similar breathalyser tests.
