From TV Chef to Movie Star!
Guy Fieri is heading to the big screen for Tom Brady’s “80s for Brady.”
The 54-year-old “Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives” host will make a cameo appearance.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the road-trip comedy will also star “Pose” alum Billy Porter and Paramount Pictures resident, but Porter’s role is still being kept a secret.
The 44-year-old NFL player is at the helm of the film, as he continues to star in the film as well as produce the film.
The project, which has finished filming, also stars actresses Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno and Sally Field.
The plot is inspired by a true story and follows four besties and New England Patriots fans (played by Tomlin, Fonda, Moreno, and Fields) who travel to the 2017 Super Bowl to see their favorite quarterback.
The production is directed by Kyle Marvin, who co-wrote it with Michael Covino, based on a draft of “Booksmart”., Writers Emily Halpern and Sarah Haskins.
brady Casting announced Porter, 52, and Fieri gleefully tweeted Thursday, “Did someone say road trip?” And tagged both men.
The soccer star added a GIF of a restaurateur riding in a red convertible: “So that’s it for this Flavortown road trip!”
