Half a million Spaniards benefit from Samsung’s Technology with Purpose program

Program celebrates its tenth anniversary with €25 million invested in 30 projects

The report by the consultancy PwC shows that the Technology with Purpose project has helped almost half a million people in these ten years in Spain, and about 70% of these are young people and children. Also present at the event, Ik Soo Choi, President of Samsung Electronics Iberia, emphasized that they aim to “build the future by focusing on the best in teacher training and education, making culture closer and more accessible, improving conditions so that entrepreneurship can thrive.” There is always a choice and it is accessible to everyone, regardless of their living conditions.”

The education sector is expected to have the largest impact on the project with 37% of the total investment. It aims to support a methodological change to include technology as a vehicle element to promote change in the way students and teachers learn and teach, thus promoting the improvement of student skills. Initiatives such as the Samsung Smart School or the Aula del Futuro are within the project, which seek to promote educational quality through the training of teachers as agents of educational change and which are carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. In these initiatives, technology is facilitating methodological change adapted to education in the 21st century.
