Hanson: Is Joe Biden leading America to the collapse of the system?

In modern times, as in ancient Rome, many nations have suffered “the collapse of the systems”. The term describes the sudden incapacity of the once prosperous population, which ensured the good life as they knew it.

All of a sudden, the population cannot buy, or even find, the once plentiful necessities. They think their roads are unsafe. Laws do not apply or are applied disproportionately. Every day things stop working. The government goes from credible to frugal if not hostile.

Consider contemporary Venezuela. By 2010, the once well-oiled exporting country was mired in a self-made mess. Food became scarce, crime ubiquitous.

Radical socialism, nationalisation, corruption, imprisoning opponents and destruction of constitutional norms were the culprits.

Between 2009 and 2016, the once relatively stable Greece almost became a third world country. Great Britain in its socialist days in the 1970s did the same.

Joe Biden’s youthful presidency is already propelling the United States into a similar recession.

The rigid leftist “awakened” ideology has eroded the idea of limits. Millions of poor foreigners are entering the United States illegally – and without COVID-19 testing or vaccinations – during a pandemic.

Health bureaucrats lose credibility as official releases on masks, herd and acquired immunity, vaccination, and comorbidities apparently change and adjust to perceived political realities.

After decades of improving race relations, America is reverting to a pre-modern aboriginal society.

Crime increases. Inflation roars. Meritocracy is denigrated and therefore we are more governed by ideology and tribe.

Rising prices for the goods of life – fuel, food, housing, health care, transport – are strangling the middle class.

Millions of people stay home, paid for by the state for not working. Supply shortages and empty shelves are the new norm.

Most of our diseases are caused by ourselves. They are a direct result of awakened ideologies that are both cruel and antithetical to traditional American pragmatism.

Hard-left district attorneys in our major cities refuse to charge thousands of arrested criminals – relying instead on bankrupt social justice principles.

Law enforcement has been arbitrarily maligned and maligned. The immunity of the police wears out, so robbers, robbers, thieves and murderers prey on the public more openly.

“Modern monetary theory” misleads thinkers that printing trillions of dollars can enrich the masses, even though the ensuing inflation is making people poorer.

Vok’s trademark is “equity” or forced equality of results. In practice, we’re becoming a comic-book version of victims and victims, with awakened opportunists acting as our superheroes.

The systematic attack on our ancient institutions in 2021 was the strangest, as we made our ancestors the scapegoats for our inefficiencies.

Jago has waged a real war against the 233-year-old Electoral College and the right of states to set their own voting laws in national elections, the 180-year-old filibuster, the 150-year-old nine-man Supreme Court, and the 60-year-old, 50-state union. .

The US military, Department of Justice, FBI, CIA, Centers for Disease Control, and National Institutes of Health were revered until recently. Their top positions were staffed by career professionals who were mostly free from the politics of the time.

Not now. Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark Milley, Attorney General Merrick Garland, former FBI chiefs such as James Comey and Andrew McCabe, retired CIA director John Brennan, and head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Anthony Fauci – all political and largely But have exceeded their professional limits.

This government freefall is overseen by a tragically bewildered, petty and incompetent president. In his delusions, an increasingly unpopular president, Joe Biden, believes his divisive anarchy is at work, reducing his political opponents to racist federalist rebels.

Who will stop our plunge into collective poverty, division and self-inflicted madness as we head towards the 2022 midterm elections?
