At approximately 6:00 am on Saturday, December 9, a traffic accident occurred, which left one person dead and material damage, according to information disclosed by journalists.
It was reported that the road incident took place on Generalísimo Francisco de Miranda Avenue in front of a mechanical workshop in the town of Francisco Linares Alcántara.
The victim of the incident was identified by the authorities as Jhairth Jhasnerth Calanche Plato, 27 years old.
It is said that the person was driving a Yamaha motorcycle without a license plate, black in color, and was apparently traveling on the avenue at an excessive speed.
It is suspected that when he lost control of the two-wheeled vehicle, the man collided with the electric pole which caused his death. He had just left a nightclub in the area, where he had been drinking.
Death occurred due to multiple injuries. Officials from the Linares Alcantara Municipal Police and the Land Traffic Directorate appeared at the event site, overseeing the procedure to be followed and the transfer of the body to the Sugar Cane Morgue.
Likewise, there is unofficial information that in the National Service of Medicine and Forensic Sciences, officials from the Delegation of Villa de Cura transferred the body of a prisoner to Maracay.
The man died at Doctor Rangel Hospital in Villa de Cura, where they identified him as José Rafael Martínez, 49 years old. It is a case that has been determined, reporters were told.

In another report, a 10-year-old girl identified as Isabela del Carmen Chacón Alsaul died at the Central Hospital in Maracay. The cause of death is unknown.
