The crime scene is in the spotlight. A man has been sentenced to life in prison for at least 20 years and 10 months by Swansea Crown Court after murdering his wife by first strangling her and then strangling her.
According to British media, Daniel White, 36, kicked open the bedroom door of his wife, Angie White, strangled her and slit her throat. He fled home, in Swansea, using her car and called her to confess everything. It was October 2012.
Officers arrived at the home, where they found the front door open and the body of 45-year-old Mrs. White in her bedroom. Daniel White had a long history of domestic violence, and at the time of the murder, police explained, he was serving a 10-year conviction for kidnapping and assault.
Afraid of what might happen to him, Alba’s wife had placed a lock on her bedroom door, which was accidentally kicked by the other person after they started a discussion on WhatsApp. According to the local press, residents heard beatings and screams around 03:00 on October 22 of last year.
A few hours later, a little before 6:00 am, the white man called the police and confessed to the horrible deed: “I already choked and cut my throat. She is dead. We argued and he closed the door and said he wanted to leave me. All I wanted to do was grab my stuff and go. Just close it. I strangled her, got down and took her by the throat to make her dead.”

When reported to the British press, the court heard that the couple had Amazon’s Alexa, a home automation device that allows you to control electronic appliances by voice. The investigation found that voice commands were kept by White and his wife at the time of the murder.
The police found that Angie was in her room at 3:03 a.m. She said, ‘Alexa, three volumes.’ Then, at 3:16 am, Daniel White’s voice may be heard saying, ‘Alexa, stop.’ He then went back down to the room and said, “Turn on – Alexa”, but what you can also hear is that he is breathless, and this seems to be the time when the police are going to go for the knife.
He came back to the room at 3:18 when he said ‘Alexa, turn on the electric light’, and at 3:19 he said, ‘Alexa, turn off the TV’. So, according to the interpretation of the police, after 3:03 am and before 3:16 am, Daniel White broke through the door and Angie was initially strangled, then they went down to get a knife, then to her throat.
The court heard that the couple had started arguing on WhatsApp. The last message they exchanged was 03:11. A pathologist found that Mrs. White had died from knife wounds to the neck. But they also testify that she was strangled.
