May is a month that brings a lot of burden in financial matters. Two new bonuses will be distributed this month, to be paid in the first week of May to its beneficiaries in Chile. Know what they are and how to get them.
Two new bonuses paid in the first week of May
During this first week of May, two important benefits will be distributed, including the Electronic Family Pocket and the Winter Bonus, both benefits which have different requirements and amounts to be distributed. Here we detail what each of them is about:
electronic family pocket
It is a benefit that comes to replace the basic basket contribution and envisages a fixed monthly payment of $13,500 pesos per household load that will be deposited into the beneficiaries’ RUT account.
The people who will be able to get it are:
Single Family Subsidy (SUF), Family Allowance (AF), or charges that are part of the Protection and Opportunity Subsystem.
In the case of households using the Securities and Opportunities subsystem, the following would be included as responsible persons:

Idea
Unlike the Basket Bonus, the amount in the Electronic Family Pocket cannot be withdrawn in cash, as the amount will be available only for making personal purchases in the food category, i.e. in supermarkets, stores, minimarkets, free fairs, etc.
When is it paid?
This benefit began with payments this Monday, May 1st, although the period to receive it is the first five business days of each month.
winter bonus
Payment of the winter bonus will begin this May for those aged 65 or over and who in 2023 meet, among other requirements:
be 65 years of age or older as on May 1, 2023; receive a pension that is less than or equal to $201,677; And are one of the institutes that we will mention below:

What is the amount?
Considered a single payment of $74,767 pesos that is not taxable or taxable and, therefore, will not be subject to exemption.
When is it paid?
