In dialogue with Radio Tariff Senator Vodanovic said that Silva’s statements were “another sign that there is a volatile sector here, who did not want to participate in the dialogue. And that there are other sectors that are trying and we will do it until the last minute. ”

The socialist senator added that in the current constitutional process “this imposes the thesis of small engine transmission by the Republicans and, therefore, we have to see what the final outcome is and then make a determination as a party.
Asked about the choice of progressive parties with different positions in favor and against the text of the constitution, facing the plebiscite, the PS president was frank.
“I find it difficult for this to happen because the visions are the same regarding the criticisms made in the process. and the rules approved. What I see in the discussions is going in a direction that I don’t believe will be different between the progressive parties,” said the parliamentarian.
Regarding whether a possible narrow percentage of approval of the proposal could interfere with the democratic legitimacy of the text, Vodanovic indicated that “the formal legitimacy is there. But is that enough to arrest the Constitution, to be included in the lives of all Chileans? It seems not.”
