Ahsoka is here, the culmination of 11 years of Clone Wars: J Rebels, and was generally well-received after its two-episode premiere. The critics seemed to enjoy it more than anyone expected, which certainly made me curious to compare it to the larger scale of film projects. war of stars from the Disneyan era of great successes and failures.
By tracking these results, we found some interesting things besides the ranking. Ahsokathe’s 5th best project, at least in the top half of the listings here:
1° Andor: 96% critics, 86% audience
The Force Awakens: 93% critics, 85% audience
3° The Last Jedi – 91% critics, 42% audience
4° The Mandalorian – 90% critics, 78% audience
5° Ahsoka – 89% critics, 79% audience
6° The bad batch – 88% critics, 84% audience
7° Villain One – 84% critics, 87% audience
8° Obi-Wan Kenobi – 82% critics, 62% audience
9° Han Solo – 69% critics, 63% public
10° Boba Fett’s book – 66% critics, 54% public
11° The Rise of Skywalker – 52% critics, 86% public.
It’s not surprising that Andor is possibly the highest-rated project here, despite having almost the same ratings as The Rise of Skywalker in the public score, as both appear to be opposites in many ways.
There is also an incredibly large gap between critics and the public in The Rise of Skywalkerwhich I don’t think was as hated by the critics or loved by the fans as much. The Last Jedi presents a reverse split as one of the projects of War of Stars most hated by fans.
Ahsoka j The Mandalorian They’re almost even at the moment, but it’s important to remember that Mando is already three seasons old. Seasons 1 and 2 had 93%, but Season 3 dropped to 85%. It doesn’t surprise me that the “companion” series Book by Boba Fett, is the lowest-rated series here as it was the most boring apart from the episodes where Mando returned to the big screen. We will see how it goes on Ahsoka long term, both for the remainder of this season and possibly a second. And then of course a movie. A long way lies ahead of us.
