Hikvision, a provider of AIoT solutions and big data services focused on the security industry, has announced that its new Pro Series PTZ cameras incorporate ColorVu technology for the first time in its range. This technology and varifocal lenses guarantee sharpness, brightness and image quality in all conditions.
Traditional cameras often struggle to maintain brightness and clarity when zoomed in, especially in low light conditions. With ColorVu technology, a fixed f1.2 aperture is used that allows up to 14 times more light to enter the lens than with conventional instruments.
The Hikvision Pro Series PTZ cameras also feature a complementary LED light that further illuminates the field of view, allowing objects and events to be captured within a range of 100 meters. Thus, constant brightness and color are maintained while zooming in and out, ensuring good image quality for distant objects and in all conditions.
Resolutions of 2, 4 and 8 MP
Among these new devices is Accusense technology, which separates real safety hazards – primarily people or vehicles – from harmless moving objects such as animals, falling leaves and changing lights. This feature gives the possibility to respond quickly and effectively in real time while minimizing false alarms.
They are available in 2/4/8 MP resolutions to meet the security needs of each customer. Notably, the 2MP models support 20x optical zoom, while the 4 and 8MP models support up to 12x. They are considered particularly suitable for industrial parks, factories, warehouses, schools and a wide range of indoor and outdoor settings.
