• Knicks Go, the No. 1 horse in the latest Breeders’ Cup Classic rankings, is a 2-5 morning-line favorite at Saturday’s $400,000 Grade III Lucas Classic at Churchill Downs. The race, which drew a field of six, is named after Hall of Fame trainer Wayne Lucas. “He is a horse that puts a lot into his training and he has done what is leading into Saturday’s race,” trainer Brad Cox told Churchill Downs Promotions. “He has achieved a lot this year and we believe the Lucas Classic is a good race to compete in ahead of the Breeders’ Cup.”
