If you are one of the millions of seniors who will receive the 2024 Wellbeing Pension, you will need a current Wellbeing Card to collect the amount of 6 thousand pesos every two months that the federal government has allocated to provide you with a noble life through the solvency of expenses such as basic services, food, and supplies.
The authorities have made the Welfare Bank the only official means of paying the welfare pension. To allocate money to this social program, the beneficiaries must have a valid Wellbeing Card; otherwise, they run the risk of not being able to collect financial support.
How do I know if my Wellbeing Card is valid or expired?
The change of year has scared many seniors, who in January did not receive the money they were entitled to because their Wellbeing Card had expired.
If your plastic has the number “01/24” on the front, where the expiration date is indicated (“Valid Thru” is the acronym in English), this means that it has expired and you need to renew it.
How to renew my 2024 Wellbeing Pension Card
According to the information issued by the Ministry of Welfare, people who want to change their expired card have the opportunity to do so from January 20 to 31, 2024.
Beneficiaries must make an appointment to collect the new card through the Secretariat’s official website (click here). In addition, you will receive a confirmation SMS to ensure your attendance.
During the appointment, it is important to present the required official documentation. Individuals with a helper must also provide a copy of the CURP and proof of the helper’s updated address.
