How much does the Toyota RAV4 2023 cost in Mexico?

The RAV4, considering both the most recent sales in Mexico and the United States, is Toyota’s most successful vehicle today. Take it, discover all the versions available in the Mexican market and don’t leave without looking at the images.

If there is a Toyota leader in sales on the American continent, it is the RAV4. Its status as an SUV shows the successful presence of these vehicles globally and both the United States and Mexico are protectorates in this segment. In the American market, no model surpasses the RAV4 in sales, while in the Mexican market only one exceeds the Toyota.

This, according to the 2022 balance of sales registered in both countries, a list that not only exposes RAV4 as the best-selling Toyota, but also placed in one of the most successful among all vehicles of all brands. Exterior, interior, mechanical and market. The four sections I will review here and now.

Outer armor, dimensions and load capacity

Both in exterior equipment and dimensions, the RAV4 offers diversity depending on which version is chosen. The RAV LE and XLE are 1701mm tall and the Advent and Limited 1706mm tall. In width, they all share 1855mm, except for the Advent, which is just higher with its 1865mm. The same goes for length, at 4,595mm for all but the Advent, which extends to 4,611mm. The base, 2690mm, is the only common denominator across the measurements.

From the access version to the top model, the equipment is of course also changed. The RAV4 LE comes standard with a rear spoiler, dual exhaust, black auto-adjust manual folding side mirrors, LED daytime running lights, auto-on/off BI-LED headlights and a black front grille.

This configuration increases the most with the RAV4 Limited package: to the standard equipment are added certain led fog lights, a panoramic sunroof or sunroof- and roof rack bars. In addition, with this version, the front grille becomes a glossy graphite color and the side mirrors, now in body color, turn signals and defroster.

Storage capacity is different for each of the four RAV4s (LE, XLE, Adventure and Limited). The cargo space is 565 kg, 545 kg, 495 kg and 455 kg. The wheels? 17 and 18 inches for the two most available, and 19 inches for the two most expensive. All aluminum.

Engine, power, traction and fuel capacity

All versions of the RAV4 available in Mexico have the same engine, the same displacement, the same power and the same torque. This is a 2.5 I4 with 204 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 179 lb-ft at 4,000-5,000 rpm. Both the speed of the automatic transmission and the capacity of the fuel tank, limited to 55 liters, are also the same in both cases.

In turn, the equation varies depending on the choice of variable. The RAV4 LE and XLE offer front-wheel drive (FWD), while the RAV4 Adventure and Limited are driven by all-wheel drive (AWD).

Prices depending on the version

Four versions of the RAV4 that Toyota offers in 2023. The entry version is the RAV4 LE whose starting price is 539,400 pesos and then the RAV4 XLE appears, starting at $587,500. The two most expensive are the RAV4 Adventure version at $645,100 and the RAV4 Limited starting at $704,400. The US range is different and includes hybrid models.
