However, the salary varies depending on the years worked, experience, as well as the type of work performed and location. For example, farm equipment operators have higher salaries. According to the BLS, farm equipment operators earn, on average, $19.11 per hour and $39,750 per year.
On the other hand, animal breeders have an average salary of $23.39 per hour and $48,650 per year. Agricultural workers in crops, nurseries, and greenhouses reported average wages of $16.49 per hour and $34,300 per year.
