The appointment went to Simon Ewington, who will focus on expanding business opportunities for partners and accelerating HPE’s edge-to-cloud strategy.
Earlier this year, Ewington was named interim director while retaining his role as vice president of worldwide sales.
Simon has over 27 years of experience at HP and HPE, as well as extensive experience in partner ecosystems on a regional and global scale. In his role as interim leader, he led the team to accelerate the success of HPE Solutions as a Service. The team also rolled out new offerings under the Partner Ready Vantage program, announced at the Partner Growth Summit in June, that include opportunities and solutions for partners to capitalize on trends around the edge, hybrid cloud, and artificial intelligence. Simon has led the organization in implementing this effort while remaining focused on driving process changes to improve the member experience, the manufacturer said.
He added that Simon’s responsibilities include driving the Partner Ready Vantage program and guiding partners to leverage the capabilities of the GreenLake Cloud Platform to align customer outcomes and needs.
Lead from the edge to the cloud
The company noted that this appointment is in addition to other appointments made in recent months, such as B. Leve Skov as Vice President of Worldwide Channel Sales at HPE Aruba Networking and Uli Seibold as Vice President of Service Provider and Partner Sales at HPE GreenLake.
Accelerate success within the channel partner community
HPE also announced several Partner Ready Vantage program launches planned for November 1, including enhanced competencies in key portfolio areas and practice development for partners through Centers of Excellence.
“We’ve always been a partner-centric company, and we’re committed to evolving our programs and operations to collectively support our customers in their own processes,” said Gilles Thiebaut, executive vice president, business development, and global partner ecosystem at HPE.
