Ecoglass and the Huesca City Council collaborate on the solidarity campaign ‘Recycle glass for them’, organized in collaboration with the Contigo Foundation in support for breast cancer research and in favor of glass recycling.
Ecovidrio is the non-profit entity that manages the recycling of glass packaging waste in Spain and the Contigo Foundation is a non-profit organization whose goal is to promote research, especially in breast cancer. The campaign has such a motto “An investment in research is an investment in life.”
In particular, in the city of Huesca, two pink containers located in Concepción Arenal Valley within the next two weeks to see the campaign and its goals.
“For the city council It is an honor to support these initiatives as ‘Recycle for them’ by Ecovidrio and Fundación Contigo, it is very necessary to advance research against breast cancer and care for the environment by recycling glass containers,” said the Councilor of the Environment , José Miguel Veintemilla. .
It should be noted that the pink containers are distributed throughout the national territory. The unity campaign approaches the roads in more than 140 municipalities with more than 340 iconic pink “igloos”.
The solidarity initiative aims to raise citizens’ awareness of the importance of environmental care by recycling glass, while promotes breast cancer research and prevention. The disease affects 1 in 8 women in Spain and it is estimated that more than 2 million cases are diagnosed each year worldwide.

This campaign aims to promote prevention and self-examination against breast cancer and raising funds for the research of this disease by recycling glass containers, thanks to the pink containers that will be installed in Huesca and in more than 140 other cities spread throughout the national territory.
The money raised in this ninth edition will go to Contigo Foundation against Women’s Canceran entity whose goal is to promote research, especially in breast cancer, improve the quality of life of hundreds of thousands of women and stop this disease
