I am glad that I got a chance to play a multi-layered character: Chandni Sharma of Kamna

Sony Entertainment Television’s slice of life drama ‘Kaamna – Jahan Hoga Khwaisheon Aur Usool Ka Aamna’ starring Abhishek Rawat, Chandni Sharma and Manav Gohil pairs a middle class couple with Manav and Akanksha through a heartfelt journey of principles and desires. sheds light on the conflict between different ideologies. Throughout the show, viewers have seen how Reality distances herself from Akanksha as she leaves her and her father for Vaibhav Kapoor. Seeing Reality’s behavior, Akanksha gets upset and takes it upon herself to win her back, even if it means going the extreme way. On the other hand, the angry human warns Akanksha to stay away from her child; This really hurts her ego and she decides to take the matter to court. With the battle for Yatharth’s custody, the drama surely intensifies, making it interesting for the audience to find out who will finally win the custody of Yatharth.

Actress Chandni Sharma, who plays Akanksha, is being praised for her exceptional acting skills and character graph in the show. Throwing light on his character change, he said, “Playing the character of Akanksha has been a challenging experience as her character has seen a lot of changes since the inception of the show. She is not a negative character, rather she is just a woman with big dreams and gets carried away by the worldly pleasures of life which compel her to act without thinking about the repercussions that come with it. Even after all this, she is still that loving mother who genuinely cares for her son and does everything possible to get him back. I might not always agree to play Akanksha, but I am glad that I got a chance to play a multi-layered character because as an actor it helps me understand the various nuances of acting. Audiences may find Akanksha’s character unfair but if they do, it means I am doing justice to my character and that gives me immense pleasure.”

So, sometimes when you have to do a scene that is intense, it is emotionally exhausting and challenging, at least for me. As an actor, I believe it is important to put aside your personal prejudices and feelings and stick to the story.”
