How is the defense of Democratic Memory in recent years? What prejudices or stereotypes persist? What does the entry into force of the new law mean? Although Democratic Memory is a right for everyone, there is a great ignorance of the younger generation, especially about the repression of the dictatorship, anti-Franco struggle, or feminist memory.
infoLibre organized it on Tuesday, October 24 at 7 p.m. at Circulo de Bellas Artes (Calle de Alcalá, 42, Madrid) is a good intergenerational event of democratic memory to reflect and try to solve some unknowns. The acting Minister of the Presidency, Relations with the Cortes and Democratic Memory will participate in the event, Felix Bolañosthe professors Gutmaro Gómez Bravo and María de los Ángeles Egidothe reporter and writer Natalia Junquera and the artists Pedro Pastor and Marwan.
Director of infoLibre, Daniel Basteiro, will be in charge of presenting this work under the name Memory Today: An Intergenerational Look. This will give way to a round table where the health of Democratic Memory can be updated. Managed by the editorial director of infoLibre, Jesus Maraña, with the presence of the professor of Contemporary History of the Complutense University of Madrid Gutmaro Gómez Bravo; journalist and writer Natalia Junquera; and the professor of Contemporary History at UNED María de los Ángeles Egido. This round table will end with the musical intervention of Pedro Pastor.
Next is the turn of Minister Bolaños. The holder of the portfolio of the Presidency will take a short stock of the application of the Memory Law before joining a discussion with a group of young people who will modernize the deputy director of infoLibre Marta Jaenes.
