Iran reveals COVID-19 data for January 22

According to the statement of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education of Iran, 3,503 people have been infected with the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Iran in the last 24 hours.

Apart from this, 30 people have died due to corona virus in the last one day.

At the same time, the condition of 1,216 people remains critical.

So far, more than 43.9 million tests have been done for the diagnosis of corona virus in Iran.

In total, more than 128 million vaccines have been used in Iran so far. A total of 60.4 million doses have been used in Phase I, 53.5 million doses in Phase II and 14.2 million doses in Phase III.

Iran is constantly monitoring the situation of coronavirus in the country. According to recent reports from Iranian authorities, more than 6.24 million people have been infected, and 132,202 people have already died.

Meanwhile, over 6.07 million people have reportedly recovered from the disease. The country continues to implement strict measures to prevent further spread of the virus.

Reportedly, the disease was brought to Iran by a businessman from the Iranian city of Qom, who went on a business trip to China despite official warnings. The man later died of the disease. The Islamic Republic announced its first infections and deaths from the coronavirus on February 19.

The outbreak in the Chinese city of Wuhan – which is an international transportation hub – began at a fish market in late December 2019.

The World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 a pandemic on 11 March. Some sources claim that the coronavirus outbreak began in early November 2019.
