BLESSED The Isigenere de Beneixama company leads the “SoletAqua” project to implement solar technologies in aggressive environments. They have just experienced the Kick-Off Meeting, the beginning of “SoletAqua – Developments of New Floating Solar Technologies” for the agro-industry and livestock environment. The project is developed by Alicante in partnership with the Institute of Environmental Hydraulics of the University of Cantabria, the Laboratory of Materials Science and Engineering Division of the University of Cantabria and the Ideas research group of the University of Jaen.
The project broadly includes developing new technologies to implement floating solar panels in growth or agro-industrial environments, the development of ecological and sustainable high-performance materials, research into new modification systems and the development of dynamic algorithms for the calculation of floating solar plants. . It will be a three-year project with a budget of 1.2 million dollars, financed by the Ministry of Science and Innovation and the State Research Agency, within the framework of the State for Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research 2021 2023 . So it will be endowed by that Ministry and the Next Generation.
The Isigenere project was born in 2008, when the engineering and development firm created the Isifloating platform, a floating solar energy system, which became a pioneering project in the engineering of the photovoltaic ecosystem in Spain. With more than a decade of experience, its solar photovoltaic structures have traveled to several continents to adapt to specific projects. From the Netherlands, Germany, Israel, Kenya, Chile, Morocco or Poland.
Other projects
At the beginning of 2023 they came to Poland for the first time. The Isifloating Company was installed with the solid Antamion in the College. From Isigenere they confirm that “there are many other opportunities in Poland and the whole company hopes to continue our cooperation with Antamione”.
On the other hand, in the summer of 2022 Isigenere reached the largest reservoir in Western Europe, in Alqueva, in Portugal. Isifloating technology is also used in this facility by the energy firm EDP. The size of the reservoir is supposed to withstand high waves, with a maximum depth of 70 meters and water level variations of 23 meters.
As part of the plan, various innovations have been developed in the world as developed by the company. Ratchets are made from bark, a natural, recyclable and biocompatible raw material, recycled polymers are used. Also, a system of reliable anchors and nets has been installed in complex environments thanks to the European innovation of the Fresheri project.
How do you work from Isigenere? As the creators of these photovoltaic structures, they say, any organization with access to surface water, with concern for sustainability and the environment can be a potential client. Its systems allow partial or complete coverage of the water surface, bottom and slope, and in vivarium irrigation or in the use of industrial reservoirs, as well as in hydroelectric or water treatment plants or mine lakes, among other wells.
In this case, they work through a network of partners and intermediate customers to deliver solutions to end customers. At the same time, they innovate to make structures as agile, simple, efficient and flexible as possible through proprietary technology. The parts of the platform, which are customizable, are designed in such a way as to allow installation and maintenance safely for personnel and to reduce logistics costs with maximum energy efficiency, according to the company.
