On Monday, Lorena Castel, winner of ‘MasterChef Celebrity 7’, returns to the kitchen in a very special event for the applicants. They’ll cook a family dish that they must perfect by adding cutting-edge techniques they’ve learned throughout their time on ‘MasterChef’.
However, the judges won’t be the only ones tasting their dishes… In the Elimination Test, Black Apron must create a low-calorie, sugar-free dessert. To do this, they must replace sugar with sweeteners. In this test, Jordi Cruz will wear his jacket to demonstrate that it is possible to prepare a rich and nutritious dessert without using sugar. In addition, Chef Joanne Roca (3 Repsol Son) will tour the ‘MasterChef’ kitchen.
On Tuesday, the semi-finalists will travel to the iconic Hotel Echauren in Azcaré (La Rioja) to celebrate the 125th anniversary of this establishment. They will cook up a menu designed by chef Francis Paniego (3 Repsol Sun), which will be tasted by 36 former restaurant employees, customers and family members who have run it for six generations. Furthermore, one of the applicants would exercise the dreaded dual captaincy and would have to lead the cooks of both teams.
In the elimination test, the Black Apron ‘MasterChef’ finalists will play with a replica of a scrumptious dessert by Jordi Roca (3 Repsol Suns in Celler de Can Roca). The cook will prepare it along with the applicants. Journalist Mercedes Mila will also visit the kitchen in this crucial test.
