Juan Jonsson, the Swede who traveled to Bolivia to meet his former nanny

The story of Juan Johnson y Ana Jimenez went around the world and moved millions of users on social networks, platforms in which both share their meetings after almost half a century. A 52-year-old Swedish missionary made it through Yacuiba, a small town in Bolivia, where the woman who gave him care and love lived when he was only 6 months old.

Juan Johnson was from his native Sweden in the country of South America with his missionary parents and his older brothers when he was just a baby. Every day, the youngest of the children stayed with Ana, a 31-year-old woman who gave up her daughter for adoption due to illness, as well as she lost her husband in an accident.

“I was sad, because my son was sick, without hope in my heart. My husband died in High Blessing working, when he was swallowed by an exercise. It (for Juan) came as a gift from God,” Ana told the program “Aquí en vivo” on the Bolivísión network.

Six years later, the family had to return to Europe and Hannah had to stay there in Bolivia. Juan has never forgotten the love and affection that this brave girl gave him, as he used to tell her in his childhood. In 2022, he had the idea to open a page titled “A Help for Ana”, to raise money to support him and, of course, go to where he lives now to see him again after 45 years.

In this way, Juan left Fuengirola, Spain, for Yacuíba. He communicated through social networks with Ana’s son and they both coordinated to surprise the 78-year-old woman.
